Shine Magazine

Shine Magazine used to be the Education Times put out by the Eduation Department for teachers. They changed the name and the look last year and turned it into this jammed packed magazine for teachers to read. For CRTs this magazine is sometimes hard to get your hands on, but well worthwhile if you can grab one along the way. Some schools have the spare copies out for parents etc to grab one. Ask around if you are interested, schools may even be able to keep one for you.

If you are not able to get get your hands on a hard copy, then you can download them from online. The link below will take you to the page where all the magazines are avaliable to download. Remember articles out of these magazines can be used as Professional Reading and count towards your Professional Development hours for VIT.

Refresher Course for Teachers Returning to Government Schools

I received an email from another network leader today giving me information on a refresher course that is free and available to CRTs. The only issue is, the closest location is Bendigo. Have a look and see what you think.

Welcome to

Hello and welcome to a new year. We have some new members to the group, welcome to you. And we have many gain work, congrats to these people.
I would like to apologise for disappearing from the blogspot. Term 4 got a little crazy and I didn't know if I was coming or going, most of the time.
I am hoping 2010 is going to be a great year for CRTs. I have tried to line up a range of speakers, but I am always open to suggestions. So please drop me an email or a phone call with your ideas.
I am planning the first meeting as a 'get to know you' seesion (or a catch up session) so we can exchange thoughts, ideas and meet the newest members to the Network.
I will have more details soon.
Until then, take care and I hope to catch up with you all at some stage this term.
